Gingham Mave Skirt

Hi! I’m just hopping in quicky to show you some photos of my newest Mave skirt. This is my 4th version and I was heavily influenced by an Old Navy add to make this one from black and white gingham.

I used the same gingham that I made this Kalle shirt from– it is a bargain fabric that I found on Amazon (but looks to be sold out currently.) It’s a cotton lawn, so very lightweight and really great for this gathered skirt! I do plan to wear it with a half slip since it’s a little sheer in the sunlight.

When I posted a modeled process photo in my Instagram stories I had on my gingham Kalle shirt with this skirt. I never thought that I’d wear them together, but many people commented that they looked great together as a faux dress. I may give that combination a try eventually! For now I’m planning to make a black tank to wear with it on those super hot Summer days.

Also, if you’re interested, I have a new post up on my Minerva page about my newest Max tee, this time lengthened into a dress. You can read all about it here!
