Sew Bibs // Sewing Community Challenge

Hi friends! Are you a lover of overalls? How do you feel about pinafores? Have you been thinking about sewing some dungarees or a pair of bibs but you haven’t gotten to it yet? Maybe you’re not quite sure if the look is right for you but you want to give it a try?

I am so very excited to tell you about a new sewing community challenge centered all around sewing overalls, dungarees, pinafores… anything with a bib!

Overalls and pinafores are really popular in ready to wear fashion and in sewing patterns. Three of my sewing friends and I thought it would be a lot of fun to put together a sewing challenge centered around these garments!

Introducing #SewBibs!

This challenge is brought to you by Heidi, Jessamy, Meg, and me. It starts today, March 1 and runs through April 12. Today we are kicking off the bibs party with giveaways on each of our Instagram feeds– click on our names to go straight to our feeds to check out the giveaways!

Next week we will start giving you lots of sewing inspiration! We’ll be highlighting overalls/dungaree sewing patterns, pinafore sewing patterns, inspiration from ready to wear, and sewing community inspiration.

We’ve got lots of giveaways planned. Each Tuesday and Thursday we’ll be giving away sewing patterns so you can make your own overalls or pinafores! We’ve got patterns to give away from Hey June Handmade, Decades of Style, Sew House Seven, Closet Case Patterns, Helen’s Closet, Jennifer Lauren Handmade, I Am Patterns, Marilla Walker Patterns, Maven Patterns, Named Patterns, Tilly and the Buttons, Sew Over It, and Fig + Needle. We also have fabrics giveaways from Threadbare Fabrics, and D&H Fabrics.

  1. I need to make this a priority to get on here and enjoy all the fun things happening. I really missed out on this one. Good job for making this available and either way I am totally encouraged by this Sewing Community Challenge maybe i can get in on the next one.

    1. Yes, there will always be another challenge that you can join! I know of another overalls challenge, plus it includes jumpsuits, that is happening right now. It’s called #sewtogetherforsummer and it’s put on by SewSarahSmith. Maybe you can check that one out! I would love to get a jumpsuit made for that challenge.
